When the
voltage our car battery or our other vehicle batteries dropped under 12 volt, we
might can not turn on our car. This is because of, generally, the car voltage
usage is 12 volt. So, the voltage of our battery at least must 12 volt. In this
voltage dropped, we must charge the battery.
To charge
battery we have two ways. First, we charge our battery use parallel battery
charger and the second we use series battery charger. Although with different ways and treatment, both,
series connection and parallel connection have one equation, that both require
a "voltage" of 13.7 volts for lead acid battery and "voltage" of 14.2 volts for a dry battery or gel battery.
Charge batteries with
parallel connection that’s mean we just need voltage, there are
13,7 volt for wet battery or 14,2 for dry battery. The greater number of battery requires a greater current
from our battery charger. And for series connection battery charge we need high
voltage from our battery charger, that "voltage" amount voltage multiplied number
of batteries. But, if we use the second way, we do not need great current. We just
need 1/10 battery size (Ah).
